Training

All our training at Red Kite takes particular account of the ecological spaces in which we live and learn, including working throughout the training in accessible natural settings. We present a movement in psychotherapy, including in Transactional Analysis, which is orientated toward an ecological understanding of the individual embedded in relationship with others and the wider natural world. We incorporate ecological thinking and practices in an embodied way through our learning to relate practice to theory to support the work we do as psychotherapists.

Why not read more about Ecological Transactional Analysis here.

We offer training routes and qualifications at Red Kite which are suitable if you have no previous training/experience in Psychotherapy and/or Counselling OR if you have previous training in Psychotherapy and/or Counselling OR are already qualified and practising as a Psychotherapist or Counsellor and want to develop an ecological practice.

Although the Ecological is at the core of our training philosophy we integrate key psychotherapeutic theories and practices from contemporary Transactional Analysis and the wider fields of Relational Psychoanalysis, Constructivism, Humanistic, Existential, Somatic/Body and the Transpersonal/Spiritual.

Studying at a postgraduate level is an exciting and rich experience. At Red Kite we foster a co-creative and relational learning environment through an experiential style of delivery to open up reflective spaces to stimulate your own thinking and practices. We invite active participation, creativity and interactive dialogue within pairs/triads and the bigger group to lift and embed the learning. Each student develops their own letters of intent, aims for learning and ecological and spiritual practices throughout the training year, with the support of trainers and peers.

Here is a recent account of someone’s experience.

We encourage students in their creativity and their writing. Numerous trainees have had their work published and some have been awarded the UKATA Research Prizes for their work.
